Munnar is located in the Idukki district of Kerala, South India and is basically a hill station.

The Mattupetty Lake is at a distance of 14 kilometers from Munnar and is a popular tourist attraction. The other places worth visiting are Devikulam, Rajamalai, Top Station and Marayoor. Tourists get an exclusive opportunity to observe the complete process tea plantation, manufacturing tealeaves and the packaging process.

The High Range Club that is almost a hundred years old is a very popular resort. There are several resorts and hotels like the Tea County Hill Station Resort, West Wood Hotel, Hotel Oak Fields, the Munnar Inn and the Siena Village that are very popular with tourists. Though Munnar is a quite hill resort, it has two Cinema houses for those interested in watching movies.
