advise of a hermit who he met during a hunting expedition. Udaipur
served as the capital of the rulers of Mewar after the fall of Chittorgarh.

may visit Sajjangarh that lies on a hilltop. The Palace here is
originally an astronomical centre that was converted into a monsoon
palace and hunting lodge. Victoria Hall Museum that displays local
historical items and antiques and Sahelion-ki-Bari, a gorgeous garden

celebrated in Udaipur. As a part of the celebrations well decorated
women carrying images of the goddess Gauri makes its way to Lake
Pichola. A procession of boats on the lake offers a fitting finale
to this splendid celebration.
