Dining at Polo Bar
Most aptly named as the Polo Bar after the Polo memorabilia and trophies that adorn the walls of this watering hole at Rambagh Palace, it is popular among the rich and famous. The legendry bar's extensive menu of drinks include signature Grand Martini Flight, traditional and modern cocktails, wines, whiskies, rums and liquors. You can also indulge in the luxury of smoking the Cuban Cigars. The drinks can be enjoyed with the cocktail snacks and starters before heading for the dinner. Those not interested in alcohol can have iced teas, ginger ales and lemonades.
Dining at Steam
A restored steam engine with recreation of a Victorian station at Rambagh Palace, Steam is a most happening resto-bar in the city. Check out the novel Mediterranean-Arabesque food bar where you can savor on the wood-fired pizza oven and variety of drinks. In-house DJ, dance floor and giant television screen concludes an elaborate evening. Open at 7 till early morning, reservation is recommended.
Dining at Suvarna Mahal
The signature restaurant of Rambagh Palace, Suvarna Mahal serves painstakingly researched culinary secrets of the various royal houses of India. The ambiance of the restaurant is a prelude to what is ahead- alabaster lamps, crystal chandeliers, original Florentine ceiling painting, gold-plated tableware and delicate chinaware. Check out the royal menus from the royal houses of Awadh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kashmir, Mewar, Patiala and Vijaynagar. To compliment the regal taste of the food is international wine cellar and live classical music for your entertainment. The restaurant is open from 12 to 3 for lunch and 7 onwards for dinner.
