Dining at Risala
Risala, meaning cavalry, commemorates the triumph of the Jodhpur Lancers over the Turks at Haifa in 1918 at Umaid Bhawan Palace. The walls of the restaurant are adorned with royal and martial portraits. The cuisine here is an innovative fusion of the mild Continental and spicy Indian delicacies. To complement the food are the Indian and foreign wines. Reservation is recommended for lunch from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm and dinner from 7.30 pm to 11.00 pm.
Dining at The Pillars
The Pillars is the coffee shop at Umaid Bhawan Palace positioned at the western rear portico of the palace. Enjoy the view of the lush gardens, the busy city and the isolated Mehrangarh Fort while sipping the hot cup of coffee. It is open from 6.30 am in the morning till 11.00 pm at night.
Dining at The Trophy Bar
The Trophy Bar is most aptly named bar at Umaid Bhawan Palace because it is grace with several hunting trophies and equipments such as elephant-foot stools, tiger-skin cushions, bears, gazelles, large wild boar tusks, binoculars, fishing gears, hunting objects and pig sticking items. Enjoy a large collection of beers, champagnes, rums, spirits, whiskies, wines and heady cocktails. You can relish the drinks from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm and from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm.
