Lake Palace Udaipur
Lake Palace Udaipur is perched on the 1.5 hectares of Jag Niwas Island in the middle of the Lake Pichola. Built in the 1743 AD by Maharana Jagat Singh II, it was originally called as Jag Niwas after its patron.
Built as the summer resort, the Lake Palace Udaipur is inspired from the Mughal architectural styles dominant during the reign of Shah Jahan. The buildings in the Lake Palace Udaipur include the Bada Mahal, Kush Mahal, Ajjan Niwas, Phool Mahal and Dhola Mahal.
